Susan Childs, Evolution Healthcare Consulting

First impressions are made within ten seconds. Customer service has always been a premier consideration in choosing staff members. It is our job to ensure that the most up to date care is offered continually, most efficiently and with compassion. This includes the patient’s financial responsibility as well. Collecting from patients at the front lines has become more challenging than ever. Receptionists are your frontline staff-members that have a huge impact on your patient and workflows… and revenue cycle. Some examples? Having patience with patients, dealing with and collecting on high deductible policies. We will review the entire revenue cycle of the front desk from the initial eligibility to payment options and approach. We will look at the joys and challenges of workflows of a front desk receptionist. How we can best support their ability to forth his or her best efforts on the practice’s behalf? After all, the patient begins with and completes the visit with your receptionist
